Having celebrated its grand opening in late April 2017, The Anam’s 117 villas, 96 rooms and suites, three swimming pools and expansive Balinese spa are set on a sprawling 12-hectare estate and provide a tranquil, high-end alternative to nearby Nha Trang.

Overlooking 300 metres of private beachfront and crystal-clear turquoise waters, the resort operates under a philosophy of ‘No Shoes. No News. No Stress’. Fusing old-world colonial architecture with a traditional Vietnamese design that includes Hue-style roofs, lanterns and decorative pools, guests will be left feeling as though they have travelled back in time.

Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and supporting the local economy, all of the resort’s hardwood interiors were sourced from forests cultivated for sustainable harvests while Vietnamese artwork adorns the property’s walls and local artisan-designed tiles line the floors.

The Anam is home to 96 rooms and suites, all of which feature access to a garden or balcony, deep-soaking bathtubs, separate rainfall showers and unencumbered views of the ocean, the resort’s swimming pools and lush gardens. For a more spacious retreat, 117 villas each with their own private terrace or balcony are available, including many with a separate living area and 27 complete with private swimming pool.

Three restaurants offer gourmet buffet and à la carte cuisine: The Indochine specialises in contemporary Vietnamese, Asian and European cuisine, with specialities ranging from bay scallops in pancetta to Nha Trang lobster medallions, while the Indochine Grill offers European fine dining and a world-class wine selection, served to the tune of live pop and jazz music played on a baby grand piano. The Beach Club enjoys a prime position overlooking the beach and adults-only pool, serving guests a mix of Vietnamese, Asian and Western dishes and an inventive cocktail menu.

The Saigon Bar provides a stylish retreat where guests can sample afternoon tea, happy hour cocktails and a small à la carte menu while enjoying live music, and the Sports Bar provides a relaxed setting in which to unwind after an active day on the water.
