Opening in Summer 2017, The Oberoi Spa will complete the offering of The Oberoi Sukhvilas Resort & Spa, Siswan Forest Range, New Chandigarh as a leading luxury spa retreat. Located on the edge of the protected forest, The Oberoi Spa will span 12,000 square feet, providing a tranquil, light filled space and will provide a spectacular setting, from which to enjoy the very best of Indian and international wellness and beauty therapies.
The layout of The Oberoi Spa comprises two courtyards, which are surrounded by a hydrotherapy pool, hammams and therapy rooms. The first courtyard is a lily pool and the second courtyard has been planted with organic medicinal herbs used for therapies. The spa itself will be embellished with elegant glass, fire and water design features. A personal Spa Therapist will create a bespoke wellness journey, prescribing the most suitable therapy: be it Western, Eastern, Ayurveda or a signature Oberoi treatment for short to long stay visitors.
Harnessing the power of water and heat for healing, the spa offers extensive hydrotherapy facilities, including a crystal steam sauna, an infrared sauna, ocean mist showers, vitality pool, Turkish hammam and a Roman Tepidarium. Guests can conclude their time spent at the Spa in a private wellness garden, enjoying light drinks and dishes.
Inspired by Indian historic architecture, accommodation at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Resort & Spa comprises of 60 keys ranging from the Kohinoor Villa, Luxury Villas, Royal Forest Tents, Royal Tents to Premier Rooms, most of which are appointed with private pools and gardens. The resort is interspersed with fountains and water channels, punctuated with courtyards and reflective pools.
Culinary highlights at the resort include an array of sensory experiences. Anant Mahal, the multi-cuisine main restaurant, has a specially-curated menu featuring dishes prepared with local, seasonal produce, herbs and spices grown at the resort’s on-site farm or sourced from local growers. At Raunaq Bar, guests can take in the portraits of brave warriors and epic battles depicted in the hand painted frescoes that adorn the walls, while relaxing in armchairs near the fireplace.
