The dramatic limestone pinnacles rising from the waters of Phang Nga Bay create a surreal backdrop for Six Senses Yao Noi. With a sense of privacy and adventure, it sets the highest benchmark for island resort living in Asia.
Yao Noi is a tropical haven – a tad detached from reality and just a 45-minute speedboat trip from Thailand’s Phuket. The resort will arrange and personally assist with car and boat transfers from the international airport. Travel time by private car from the airport to the Ao Por Grand Marina is approximately 30 minutes. Arrangements for a fast-track arrival service are available on request.
Natural materials used in the modern architecture, together with excellent personal service, support the Six Senses philosophy of creating exceptional experiences. Pool Villa accommodations provide generous personal space and present an uncompromised lifestyle. Natural vegetation and lush landscaping gives privacy between the elevated villas. Sea View villas offer glorious views over Phang Nga Bay, while Mountain View villas face a heritage plantation of rubber trees.
The Six Senses Spa village is nestled in the lush tropical hillside. Modeled after a typical village house from northern Thailand, it provides treatments designed to enhance spa journeys using only naturally and ethically produced spa products; featuring a wide range of holistic wellness, rejuvenation and pampering treatments administered under the guidance of expert therapists.
Skilled therapists work in harmony to administer sensory treatments of healing, rejuvenation and wellbeing. Traditional Thai therapies encourage relaxation and open energy channels for a feeling of overall harmony.
There are dining options aplenty at Six Senses Yao Noi, with four restaurants and bars, with an international wine cellar showcasing over 200 different types of wine. Featuring a glass floor with a creek meandering beneath, the Dining Room offers European organic cuisine and the Chef’s Table, which offers a very personal dining experience for just eight guests. The Living Room presents a marriage of world cuisine, with an emphasis on Thai, plus tandoori and pizza ovens, and an open grill.
At The Hilltop Reserve, Asian-inspired international and contemporary set dinners and light lunches showcase the freshest local seafood, with herbs and vegetables from the resort’s own organic gardens. The Den is a multi-level semi open bar with intimate nooks, offering a menu of Asian and Western light bites.
By foot, bike, or by taste, let the island weave its spell with amazing offerings and its sheer untouched beauty. Relax and let the day go by or choose from a raft of leisure possibilities. From a kayak tour, island hopping by longboat and nature adventures to a secluded island barbecue, excursions and activities are all about personal schedules and desires. Family adventure holidays in Yao Noi are designed for memorable times together. Perhaps mountain biking or the many water activities that are suitable for almost all ages.
Sustainability is top of the resort’s agenda with numerous practices to minimize negative and embrace positive impacts. All embody the Six Senses environmental commitment. For example, the resort has rejuvenated a mangrove area with its hosts having built a 350-meter boardwalk and planted around 3,000 mangrove seedlings. This allows guests and locals to enjoy the mangroves and to spot some of the fascinating wild life, particularly birds such as the Hornbill, with minimal impact on the biodiversity.
The resort favors locally sourced and environmentally sound products, encouraging suppliers to reduce packaging and deliver in bulk to reduce waste and the greenhouse gas emissions produced. Further expanding on the sustainable initiatives, the resort has its own organic chicken farm with 200 free-range hens for the resort’s own egg production and currently in plans to produce its own goat diary products.. Community support includes participation in the Geo-Life Clean Water Project, donations to support three local schools in English-language programs and sponsorships for children through the Child Fund International.
