Eleven Experience will launch Deplar Farm in Northern Iceland for the winter and summer season in 2017. This 28,000 sqft lodge has been transformed from a working sheep farm into the ultimate remote Nordic retreat. Sleeping up to 34 guests, it is located in a remote valley surrounded by breathtaking scenery and close to the Arctic ocean. Guests can heli ski over 1,500 square miles of exclusive terrain from mountain peaks all the way down to the ocean’s shores or fly fish some of the world’s most exclusive salmon beats.

Each breathtaking property reflects its location in its extraordinary design and is fully serviced with private chefs, wellness areas and expert guides.
From March until the end of May, Deplar Farm offers some of the world’s best heli-skiing. Its north lcelandic location ensures extended sunlight hours so guests can enjoy up to ten hours per day of ski time up until 8pm. Eleven’s experience managers personally tailor each trip from the moment guests arrive, offering a daily thrilling menu of outdoor pursuits to entertain and challenge guests within their own limits.
Deplar Farm has 12 King Rooms and a bunk-room with a maximum capacity of 34 guests. This phenomenal property may be wonderfully remote but offers a range of world-class facilities for guests looking to relax and unwind after an active day outdoors. The extensive wellness area comprises a steam room, indoor/outdoor saunas, hot tubs, a gym, yoga room, flotation tanks, 4 treatments rooms and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, heated to 38 degrees from thermal springs with a built-in sound system and a bar that even comes with a remote-controlled boat so the barman can motor drinks directly across to guests. The Nordic inspired interiors are cosy and stylish. Guests socialise together in the evening with cocktails mixed by the resident mixologist and feast on local Icelandic delicacies cooked by the private chef. Deplar Farm also offers a library, entertainment room, conference room, terrace, karaoke and a full band set up for late night jamming sessions as well as two helicopter pads.
In the winter months, Deplar Farm is available in private or semi-private helicopter load. In February and March, it’s even possible for guests to ski under the Northern lights. In April, when the Arctic salmon season starts Eleven offers the rare opportunity to heli-ski down some of the ultimate slopes in the Troll peninsula and catch a big sea trout the same day. The impressive roster of alternative winter-sport activities when not heli-skiing includes surfing with custom-made wetsuits, snow mobiling, clay pigeon shooting, ski-touring, ice-fishing, whale watching as well as private tours of Puffin Island and the famous local herring museum. The Eleven team go above and beyond to create personalized and memorable experiences for every group whether it’s playing frisbee golf, creating an après ski party in the snow to organizing an elaborate game of laser tag on skis against the staff.
In the summer months, Deplar Farm available for exclusive use or by individual room and is renowned for its superb fly fishing from mid-June to mid-September. A guide will help guests pick out the best and most scenic spots to catch trout, arctic char and Atlantic salmon. With 21 ours of sunlight per day, the spellbinding Icelandic scenery is the perfect backdrop to other summer activities including hiking, biking, horseback riding, surfing, cycling, sea kayaking, white water rafting and paddle boarding.
