As the signs of Autumn become all the more clear as we head towards mid september – particularly for those of us who are soccer mums sitting on the sidelines cheering our kids on (and freezing on the spot as the Bise wind makes itself felt) – the Green Pebbles Girls are on the look out for stylish, elegant yet practical garments to keep us warm!
We’ve discovered a wonderful italian brand created by designer Chiara Belletti – Via Fiori Chiari Cashmere. Chiara comes from a family who was deeply entrenched in the textile industry.
Her grandfather produced luxury household linen “I still remember the wonderful tablecloths with threads of pure gold…. ” and her father produced special covers for high fashion, so it was inevitable that she would be transmitted the same passion for textiles.
Her passion for cashmere grew when she started to work for major luxury brand with a strong focus on cashmere knitwear where she chose the products for its flagship stores in Tokyo and London.
When her son was born she decided to concentrate on her own brand and has developed a brand which in our opinion is a beautiful combination of stylish and casual, yet effortlessly elegant.
Not an easy task, but clearly this ‘designer mum’ knows what a woman wants from a cashmere as this collection is easy to wear, easy to mix and match, yet it still retains the luxuriousness that all women want to be surrounded by (even if it is standing in the cold on a football pitch with your comfy UGGs).
The softest cashmere is used to create beautiful cardigans to be worn with jeans or casual trousers.
This season you can choose from a selection of designs and lengths, from a longer version (cover all those extra bulges), to a shorter smarter fitted ‘jacket-like’
We love the poncho which is a great alternative to a jacket and is easy to throw into your tote and grab out when that bitter wind starts blowing.
The colour palette is soft and pleasing to the eye. Warm chocolate browns, elegant beige, trendy whites and off whites, this season’s must have grey and of course navy blue and black.
