Clearly taking reference from the ad campaign shot by Peter Lippmann with his whimsical depictions of fantasy fishing scenes where the Louboutin heels and bags from the 2013 Spring Summer collection are caught by the dangling fishing lines the window displays have huge partially opened sardine cans as a backdrop, where lo-and-behold one can see the shoes and handbags peeping through.
The oversized sardine cans are embossed with the signature Christian Louboutin red sole – and we love them!! (It is our mission this week to find out how we can get our hands on one of these cans!)
Of course these sardine cans are only the first reference to the ad campaign, the windows also feature oversized single fishing hooks, traditional three-pronged hooks and large metallic fly rings.
Anchored by coloured PVC tubing and rope and suspended from ceiling height, they re-create a fishing line with handbags or shoes dangling below as the enticing fly bait (we’ve bitten the bait!!)
If you can’t pop along to Paris, then you can always visit the stores in the US to capture the same effect, or you log onto the Christian Louboutin website where you’ll be welcomed by by giant, swinging fishing hooks laden with new season shoes and bags. All part of a 360° communication strategy by Louboutin with all the digital platforms reflecting the new designs.
