As expected the Oscars were a triumph of fashion dos and don’ts. We’ve taken some time to reflect and here are a few of our considerations……
We wonder what was going through Anne Hathaway‘s head when she chose to fit an ill fitting pale pink Prada dress (dubbed “Le Nipperables” by TMZ.com!) at the last minute instead of the Maison Valentino one she had originally planned to wear… could it have been some sort of throwback to Gwyneth Paltrow’s pink ill fitting Ralph Lauren dress which saw her win her Oscar for Shakespeare in Love……
……..and we do have to spend a couple of words to express our surprise at Catherine Zeta Jones who usually looks divine, who chose a very very gold number by Zuhair Murad which left many tweeters asking if she’d dressed up as The Oscar or worse still as a Ferrero Rocher, not to mention the rather copious amounts of make-up she appeared to be wearing!

A special mention has to go to the wonderful Helen Hunt who did a GAP-SHARON STONE number and chose to wear an H&M dress with jewellery worth over $700,000. She would have made it in the best dressed list, had it not been for the fact that the dress was terribly creased! Surely there’s enough space in a Limo to fit a stylist with a travel iron!

Luckily several other stars made up for these faux pas with some stunning dresses some of our favorites include Charlize Theron in Dior and Jessica Chastain in Armani Privé (above), Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton and of course Jennifer Lawrence in Dior (despite the tripping incident!)
